1) Is It Safe To Exercise During Pregnancy?

Absolutely. ACOG, The American College Of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, has developed a definitve list of recommendations and guidelines for exercise during pregnancy. They have concluded that for most women prenatal exercise is not only safe, but highly recommended.

There are some exceptions, however, which exclude certain women from exercising during pregnancy. For this reason, a doctorÕs clearance is required for all women before beginning any exercise program to determine whether or not exercise is contraindicated. Once clearance is obtained, however, all training sessions are conducted within the safety guidelines outlined by ACOG.
